Factors To Consider When Installing Conductive Slip Rings

The installation of the conductive slip ring involves many technical parameters and technical problems. It is difficult for the generally unskilled workers to do well. For the installation and adjustment of the conductive slip ring, we must follow the steps.

Coordination and clearance of conductive slip ring Since the conductive slip ring has to meet the requirements of high-precision slip ring and high temperature slip ring, the following two points must be considered when considering its fit clearance:

(1) Dimensional change and hardness change from normal temperature to high temperature;

(2) Changes in force system and shape caused by centrifugal force under high pressure.

In short, under the conditions of high pressure and high temperature, it is difficult to maintain the accuracy and working performance of the slip ring from the choice of fit and clearance.

In order to ensure that the raceway deformation of the slip ring is small, the interference of the interference fit cannot be made too large, and the centrifugal force under high pressure and thermal expansion at high temperature, or offset the normal pressure of the mating surface.

Or to loosen the mating surface, the interference must be calculated carefully considering the above two factors. The effective interference at normal temperature and speed may not be effective for the conductive slip ring. If the contradiction between the calculation results is too high (usually only under ultra-high pressure), only dual lubrication measures using both the under-ring lubrication method and the static pressure lubrication method can be used, and this scheme may make the dmn value of the slip ring Break through the 3 million mark. When the slip ring is damaged, it may cause unexpected equipment to stop.
